I'm looking for a low powered maybe fixed even for a hunting rifle.  I have only heard a few people talk about them and can't tell if they are good or not.  Any experience or opinions would be welcomed.  Also alternatives.  Thanks!

I just bought a 3-9X42 Sightron SII.  The optics are roughly as clear as those on my Weaver Grand Slam 3-10X40.  Haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet.  The best price I was able to find was here:  http://www.tjgeneralstore.com/sightron_scopes.htm

Seems like a decent value for the money.  Hope it helps.

Thanks!  Be sure to tell how it is.  Anyone else ever even heard anything about them?

I've got a SII 3.5-10x50 on my 300WSM hunting rifle - GREAT scope.  See my comments here.

I'd highly recommend them.  I'm planning on buying another for the .270 get my hands on soon.
