whats the deal here can somebody tell me what the heck are the magpull ranger plates ive seen with no loops on the end......kinda interested in the concept.......any ideas?

i think they call them Lumpy plates. work the same as bumper on 1911 mags. keeps them from being damaged when they hit the floor.

The other advantage is they Lock in place like the Original Ranger Plates. I've always questioned the viability of them protecting the mag when they hit the floor. Eject 10 mags out of your weapon and see how many actually hit on the base of the mag, and you'll see what I mean.

Don't get me wrong, the concept is better than the factory plates.
