I am looking into different mounting options. Can someone direct me to a thread or a sticky that explains the stanag mount please? I am looking for a see through mount that (perhaps if it fits the bill) will mount a M16 4x32 military copy scope with stanag connection. I have no idea what 'stanag' is and if it is a viable option. Here is a pic of a Kahles Stanag style scope we are currently selling on ebay: The two screws you see protruding out of the blocks is the "Stanag" concept, and below is a Stanag style mount. Just remove the two screws and align your scope above the holes drilled into the mount. Come up from the bottom of the mount with the screws and screw them back into the scope. Once done your mount will then be securely clamped to the scope. So if you see a mount with the two round holes on the end it is Stanag compatible. This mount is an ARMS #19 Dovetail / Stanag Throw Lever Mount. It’s not see through though.  |
