Wrong.

You will see it if it isn't magnified, but it doesn't bother me.  If your scope is magnified then you will only notice a light ghost of it when you try to look for it.

* like the post below, I too like the lower 1/3 mounts with a fixed front sight.

For me, I find a lower 1/3 cowitness optic setup is better for a rifle with a stand FSB.  It raises the reticle slightly above the FSP and unclutters your field of view somewhat.

Here is a quick pic from my phone..  The pic also shows the front sight a little higher than it really is when I have it shouldered.  It was a little hard to get the phone to line up properly to give a really accurate sight picture.

When I have it shouldered the dot is right in the middle and the tower is lower about the same amount that it would take to move the dot to the center.

ACOG with a standard sight doesnt' bother me one bit.

Non magnified sights don't matter one bit if you can see the sight or not really.

Not a problem, you will learn to ignore it quickly.  For a non-magnified optic fixed sites are the way to go.  If your optic goes down the irons are right there.  No flipping switches or hitting buttons, just roll on.

He didn't say you won't see it, he said you won't notice it. Big difference, he's not wrong
