I'm working on buying a stripped lower off the EE.  If I bought a lower parts kit and took the whole mess to a gunsmith, is this high dollar gunsmithing to put it all together?  What would be a fair price to pay?

Because when it comes to mechanics, I'm an absolute loser!  I know my limitations!

I just did my first one.  I will post pics once I get my upper.  Now I admit its not perfect and I made a few small scratch marks and launched a pivot pin detent accross the room but I feel I learned a lot and will be much better off the next time I build one.

I agree.  Do it yourself.  It's alot of fun, and it's a cool feeling knowing you built your own gun.
