never having had thought about fals or g-3's or m1 carbines , and the like
my question is, if all the 'junk' from the cartridge is stopped by the gas piston, in
a piston drive weapon, where does all the crud go?

it is not jettisoned through some other port, or pulverized, and then driven out the bbl later?
