looking at getting a timney trigger, and have read that ar15 versions may have issues with "military hard primers". wondering if anyone has expirenced trouble with this and on which ammo. I primarily shoot federal xm193, PPU 75 gr match, and PPU 55gr. don't want to spead extra for the ar10 version(w/heavier hammer&springs) if i don't have to.

I initially had FTFire issues with my Timney 3# skeletonized using BHBB 77 SMK's, about 2-3 rounds per 100; I didn't really try much other ammo in that precision rig.  I spoke with Jay Hague at Timney, and he sent me an AR-10 hammer spring for free.  The pull weight increased about 6 oz. as he said it would, but there is no longer any issue with light primer strikes.

So I should go with the ar10 kit to besafe

I am running the AR-15 trigger with the [red] AR-10 hammer spring, and it works just wonderfully; it would seem as though the heavier AR-10 hammer is not required.  You should just call Timney directly, Jay is a helpful guy to visit with.  His number is 602.274.2999 x201.
