Is there any kind of touch up paint I could use on my AR? I have a few places where the paint was nicked off and want something to touch it up and prevent it from rusting there.

I get better results with a sharpie over the birchwood I have used a sharpie and it works fine but there is still discoloration between the anodized surface and the sharpie color. The brichwood casey blended well with the RRA lower I used it on. I wouldn't worry too much about scratches though because if you use it, its gonna get roughed up |

According to my 1980 COLT Armorer manual
Lacquer Black ( jet ) Lusterless Acrylic Nitro Cellulose Type ( touch up ) U.S. TT -L-50D Type 1 COLOR 37038 or MIL-L 19538 Its my old manual but should work Hope this helps I love the looks of a well used AR15 or any weapon |
