I was wondering if anyone makes a block kit (similar to what brownells has for FSB pins) for trigger guards? One of the issues for builds is the possibility of breaking off one of the ears of the trigger guard while installing/replacing the roll pin, is there anything made specifically for this?

Thanks guys.

Use a nice 2x4 securely under the trigger guard. Should support it nicely.

This.

A piece of wood works well.

If you INSIST on buying something ill make a nice wooden cutout one and charge you $59.99 for it

yes, I've used the wood block, but it's not extremely user friendly, just wondering if there was a specific jig for it. I thought it would be a cool piece of kit to have. YMMV

Another option is to use the taped off vise grip method. No huhu.

x2. This is what I've always done and had no issues.  Regardless of your method, if you take your time you should have no problems.

Can you show a pic of how this is done? Or a link for it?

very interesting.

If you are into collecting tools that kit seems like a pretty decent deal for the price.

Thanks cornish!! I figured someone had done this already, but my google fu must be weak. Yes, I am a self professed tool geek.

I have had to remove a few of these. I always try to make use of something I already have. I have found that a 1/4" drive socket with a couple of layers of duct tape over it to pad it placed under the lower works great. Cheap, does the job, and most of us already have it in our tool kits.  Just my $.02

.....and have a friend steady things for you while you tap the roll pin into place.

Life is easier with a bench block.

Easy to make or cheap to buy.
