Sorry all, I'm absolute newb to the black rifle. I searched and couldn't find the answer. How does one determine whether their lower requires the small pin or large pin for the trigger? Thanks. |
The trigger and hammer pins are identical/interchangable. They look like this.. www.gunaccessories.com/AR15-M16Parts/TP-KNS1.jpg Edit.. oh.. nevermind..

Thanks :) |
Hey Mike, I just read something from Midway. It says: Customers with older Colt rifles, or rifles from Bushmaster, DPMS, or almost any other source have a hammer and sear pin diameter of .154" and should purchase "small pin" parts. Current production Colt rifles, have a pin diameter of .169" - .170". Customers with current production Colt rifles should purchase "Large Pin" parts. So that is opposite of what you said? |
| I recently purchased the KNS pins kit with the .154 pins and they were just a little too small in my Colt M-4 law enforcement carbine. It was purchased 3 years ago and I thought it would be mil-spec, but the pins allow everything to wiggle just a little. Do I need to get the .155 pins or go all the way up to the .170 size. I think they would be way too big for the holes. Does anyone know exactly which size is good to go? Thanks |
Taking about being delexic. ![]() The mil-spec FCG receiver hole sizes are .155, and most of the newer colt receivers are the same. The older colts receivers had the .170 trigger pins/FCG. |
