| whats the diff btwn single stage and 2 stage triggers??? |
| Single stage is the standard trigger. There is just one movement or takeup until the hammer is released. Two stage is usually an aftermarket item on AR's. It consists of one stage or takeup until resistance is felt, and then a relatively clean light break when the hammer is released. How clean and light it is depends upon the manufacurer and the adjustment of the trigger group. Two stage triggers were the standard US military triggers until the M16. The M1, M14, and the Springfield 1903 and Enfield 1917 all had/have two stage triggers. |
