| im installing a DPMS lpk (single stage trigger) into a doublestar lower, and so far is is going well. i just installed the trigger/disconnector assembly and hammer assembly, selector, and the grip with the spring and detent. however when i do to go a function check the hammer doesn't release went the selector is put on fire. the hammer is getting locked down too far. when i put the completed lower on a upper from one of my other rifles and charge it and try to pull the trigger it the hammer comes forward about 75% of the time. what do i need to do in order to het the hammer to lock into place and release? if i lock the hammer down with my hand the hammer gets locked down too far. the lock on the top of the disconnector is engaging opposed to the lock on the front lower part of the triggerr. am i doing something wrong in my instillation? i followed the guide from here. |

I'll be honest, I'm not completely sure I understand the situation as described. That said, the usual question of are your hammer and disconnecter springs in correctly? It's very common to either replace the bolt catch release spring with the disconnecter spring or to have the disconnecter spring in upside down. The disconnecter spring is tapered and the large end of the disconnecter spring goes down into the trigger channel. Another common mistake is to put the hammer spring in upside down. The hammer spring goes with the arms down against the lower receiver. These are two things to consider. |
