say if you have a decent bolt,colt, LMT armalite, Ect.if you have a number of uppers, can you use that bolt in multipul uppers if you have them headspaced properly?  just wondering.  armalite says yes but quantico arms say no,  thanks for the info.

You have almost answered your own question. Some people will say yes, and some people will say no. I have done it in the past when I didn't have a back up. I never had any problems doing this but I don't do it all the time either.

If it headspaces properly you can use it. It just isn't a good practice.
Remember that over time your components start to wear into each other and a bolt that headspaces properly on one upper may not headspace on the next. Therefore you have to constantly check headspace each time you switch uppers. If you're worried about economy it would be better to get a new bolt that properly headspaces to each upper and then just share a carrier.
