I picked up an upper receiver from the gunshop and am having some trouble placing it (for the price I wasn't leaving it).
To start, it has: A1 Rear sights, Forward assist (round button) Case Deflector A2 dust cover with silver spring Front lug without rebate Raised L -> R for the sight wheel And a C H forge code (Colt, maybe for Canada?) Cuts for an M4 feed ramp (short, small, they are definitely original and not done be someone by hand this is not my picture but they are the same shape and depth as these http://media.photobucket.com/image/m4%20feed%20ramp/rob_s/CDMRLE/FEEDRAMPS.jpg) I have NOT found a [C] proof just above the port door at the front of the upper, I have not found a stylized D or splintered A anywhere.. in the usual or unusual locations :) And to top it off the whole thing is on the darker side of XM gray-ish. Somewhere (and I always used to come across it but for the life of me can't find it, and the forum search did me no good) was a list of receivers that Colt produced for Canada. Is this one of them? I can't remember if C H and C M forge codes went to Canada, but the presence of the case deflector makes me think it is. |
