I'm looking to sell (or trade) 2 uppers and really don't know what to ask for them. Looking for a little help.
First Stag 2HTL upper with about 250 rounds thru it. Spotless Next RRA 14.5" with permanent A2 birdcage and Surefire forend (bought from Pete @ Legal Transfers) a few years back. Probably 2,500 round through it. A little wear on the forend but minimal. Both will have BCG and charging handles. Thoughts? |

The Stag will probably move quicker. Since its not pinned, someone wanting something similar may buy it and change it to suit them. $550-600
If they want a FF tube or rail, or a different muzzle device, that pinned flash hider is likely a deal breaker unless you discount the RR a little more, plus the Surefire rail only has real value to someone who thinks that it is the Bees Knees. The market is presently flooded with rails. KAC rails are going for $150, plus PSA is putting milspec uppers on sale for $259-279 every other week. $500-550 on the RR, unless you can wait a while. You might do better trying to sell the RR as a complete rifle, unless you live in a heavily populated area where there is a greater chance of running into a buyer looking for exactly what you have. People who buy uppers tend to be folks who want very specific features, while many who buy complete rifles are just getting into ARs and have not yet figured out exactly what want. What are you looking to get? |
