There are many with good reviews, RRA, DPMS, JT, Fulton Armory, WOA,Mod. 1 Sales, MA Parts and about a dozen others depending on your price range. I just noticed Fulton offers a 1-12 twist for lighter bullets in there Varmint upper. DPMS used to be the cheapest, with very good accuracy reviews. Seems most retailers have just upped the prices on DPMS uppers. Fulton looks like a good deal at $489.00.complete upper. Coleman Tyler shows complete DPMS 20" Varmint uppers at $479.00. RRA will be a few buck's more on theres. Most of the entry level ( cheaper ) Varmint uppers will have Shaw or Wilson barrels in various spec'd 223 chambers. Best I can tell you is do some research on the boards, good luck. |
| I have a 20" dpms varmint upper and it will consistanty shoot .75 to 1inch 5 shots @ 100yds. good barrel would probably buy another for the money. MidwayUsa is a good place to buy one. I have also just read a review about a stag upper. it is a 24inch but they gave it a very good review. worth checking out. good luck |
