anyone use this bipod? i have an opportunity to get one for pretty cheap. it will be used on a 24" long range platform. its the #50 model (the shortest one) which works out great because thats the one id choose anyways if i was going to buy one retail.

it seems pretty reliable and versatile. but needless to say ive never really seen anyone on here with one. i thought it was kinda sweet because i was looking for something a little different as far as a bipod goes. than i stumbled accross the versa

I've used one in the past.  They're decent.  Planning on using an Atlas on the long range rifle I'm currently working on.

The new stuff is made in the US, from billet (not investment cast); and priced accordingly

Everytime I see a Versa-pod it makes me want to go to the pound, get all of their kitten's & puppy's and then bring them out to the country and feed them to ravinous coyotes... in front of a busload of school kids!

But hey... it's your money right!?

Go buy you a Versa-pod!

It's true.
Living in Alaska causes people to become nuts,,,,,

I have a versa Pod, it is OK, a bit too heavy, and there are some better options on the market now.
Case in point, my other black rifle has a Tango Down Polymer Bipod in place, lighter weight and more durable, just as adjustable as the Versa Pod, a better choice.

I love mine.

I like being able to have a mounting stud on several different rifles and being to switch the bipod around depending on what rifle Im carrying that day.

I used one for about 2 years... mainly because the quick detach option (and i bought it new off a buddy for $30)

Then I switched to a Harris on a Larue QD plate... I'm happier now.

The versapod wasn't as strong/solid locking up as my harris... it had jiggle.
