i was looking for a laser system for my AR.
I really like the DBAL I2 but the price is up there and I really dont need the IR functions since i have no NV at this time.
I may, at some point, get my hands on one but not now.

So, what I'm looking for is a good visible laser.
Can anyone recommend any specific brand/model?

thanks!

I've got a unimax green laser, it's tiny and very bright.  It does, however, eat up batteries and it is way too easy to accidentally activate w/ its standard switch.  I use it on my SMG because I have no use for a visible laser on my rifles.  I also have a primary arms green laser which is nice but is far larger and the tape switches seem to go out easily.  That being said, it's also much cheaper and primary arms has provided excellent customer service when it came to replacement of failed parts.  I like both and will keep both.  YMMV

Laser Devices OTAL Vis would be a good start.

I love my OTAL (CL 1 IR) and would have no hesitation using their visible laser model.  It's a nice solid item, but IIRC the green laser costs a bit more than their red.  I think TNVC attributed it to a "glitch" in their pricing structure, but that was in a thread from last year so it might have been fixed.

Agree completely. Laser Devices is the gold standard.  Check out either the OTAL if you have a front sight post or an ITAL if you don't.  I have an OTAL classic (IR) that I love.

Vic at TNVC has the hook up on LDI stuff and is a forum supporting vendor.  Great prices and awesome customer service!
