Hi just wondering what people's opinion's are on vortex red dots. They have the spitfire 3x coming out. Kinda interested in it.

Nope. Not interested. $449 if I'm not mistaken. 250 hr battery life at full blast and 3000 at minimum brightness. And its fixed 3x?? If so, no thanks.

I'd rather a strikefire or sparc for under $200.

I would prefer the new $200 Sparc II over the 1x version, but the 3x looks interesting.
But I'm not sure if I'd rather have that at $450 or pay more and get a good 1-4X.
I would need to see some reviews. Hopefully MAC will do one soon.

It has an etched reticle so no battery needed to use, though no illumination, at least it isn't dead in the water. A more scope like reticle rather than a simple dot I believe.

It should be a clearer and the image have less distortion that the PST.

If it can be had for $300 or so, it won't be bad.
