A2 flash hider/brake.  May not be as sexy as those exotic looking brakes, but it works great with little flash and controlled recoil.  And its not near as loud as some others.

slimline flash can, or the micro flash can?

I just replaced mine with a war comp I got a deal on. Now its ready when I decide to get a suppressor for it.

I have a PWS Triad I got on sale from Primary Arms. Muzzle Flash, Muzzle Rise, and Concussion aren't bad at all. I tried this at an indoor range as well.

Had no idea there were so many brakes available.  How many ways are there to divert blast upward/sideways with a cone shaped center?

Anyone running just a thread protector?  I have a KAK flashcan and it works great.  Very loud at indoor ranges where I shoot.  I was thinking of just using a thread protector and no muzzle device.  I don't get down in the dirt or worry about the flash being seen by enemies.

Do you have the regular size one? They make a shorter one.

Kaw Valley Linear comp, LeeVang Linear Comp or Troy Claymore are all about the size of a standard A2 FH, but direct the gas and sound forward like the flash can.

For light, short, and less expensive the Levang will do everything it needs to, if you still want a blast forward comp.

Otherwise, I use an A2 or Phantom.

I vote suppressor.  They can double as pretty good flash hiders.

Guntech make micros flash cans out of aluminum. As long as your not shooting full auto for long periods they work just fine.

About the size of an A2, pushes blast forward and reduces flash well

SD tactical arms muzzle brake or flash hider, can get the pig covers that acre onto them as well when you want to remove it.

My 9mm 'lightweight' PSA upper came with a KAK flash can, haven't had it off to feel how heavy it is but KAK's site says they're made of aluminum.

Used to have a Levang Linear comp on another rifle it is NOT light. Despite it's small size there's a lot of steel in there.

If I pull mine off I'll just go with a thread protector, or an A2 birdcage.

Just added a Kineti-tech to my new AR Pistol Build.  Got 4 more parts to add it and I'll take it to the range.  Stay tuned for reviews on the Kineti-Tech.
Quality of machining, fit & finish are excellent.

You will not look as cool or up to date but it will be lighter, shorter and work just as well.

+1

A suppressor would be better still.
