Guys:

Does anyone have any experience or opinions on weapons catches when using a single point sling?  I am looking for something to keep my AR from flying around druing transitions or on the move.

Any help would be appreciated.

Judging from the response, I guess noone uses weapon catches.  I've got a V-Tac 2 point that's pretty good but its not very abidexterous.  I need to be able to switch sides and go to prone quickly.

Again, any help would be appriciated.

they do keep the gun from slapping your leg but i have found a problem with the concept in general; if your carrying a sidearm (handgun) you have a choice of holster or the weapons catch. also the few times i used mine i found a problem with some moving say certain kinds of crouching or crawling thru windows.

Thank you for that information.  Those descriptions would pose a problem.  Guess its back to the V-Tac until I can find something better.  I took a carbine course from Thunder Ranch in January and Clint Smith used an inexpensive bungee type cord for a sling.  It was very simple and seemed easier to manipulate than what I have.  Anyway, thanks for your input.
