I have a detachable A2 carry handle sight with a square box forge code. I have heard is is a new Colt forge code but I just saw this as a possible manufacturer as well:

"square forge mark (Brass Aluminum Forging Enterprises, LLC) off of a RRA"

I have never heard of "Brass Aluminum Forging Enterprises, LLC" but I have not read of Colt using a new forge mark either. It makes more sense to me that Colt may use carry handles from another company than change their forge code.

What do you in the know say?....Thanks....<><....:)

P.S. - once it is determined who the forge code represents perhaps it can be added to the list of forge codes that is often referred to here...

It's BAFE.

They forge platters for COLT and BCM for sure... maybe others.

I've never understood the forge marking obsession myself.

Nor have I, unless it is for quality assurance or wanting to match up an upper and lower from the same foundry. Most of my guns are mongrels, aka Frankenguns, but they all shoot great the way they are. I was a LEO for over 30 years and a gun was a tool to me and still is. Not many safe queens here....<><....:)

That said, I still am looking for any one of the 5 different "F" marked A2 uppers to match an FNMI barrel I havel....Thanks
