Need opinions. I bought, use and love my 1st AR, but wanting to build my next. 1st has a Eotech red dot for regular range tjme. This one will have my scope and want for more precise a little further out shooting. I ordered a Stag 3g complete upper and have not started on my lower yet. For further out precise shooting I am wanting a light/smooth operating trigger that doesn't need adjustments, what trigger would you recommend?

Geissele SSA or SSA-E

I'd suggest either one of these also. I have a SSA in my Noveske SPR and it's an outstanding trigger for precision shooting..I also have the DMR and S3G in other rifles and Geissele's are my go to trigger..

For precision, the Geissele SSA-E without question.

Some people feel the SSA-E is a tad too light for all-around use, and prefer the SSA. I disagree with that assessment though. I own 4 AR's, and 4 SSA-E's.

Lots of Giessele fan boys on here. They are nice triggers for sure, but I prefer the crisp, clean breaking 3# Timney if you prefer a single stage trigger.

Might be the best hands down.  Doesnt require any adjusting or tinkering.  Simple drop in trigger that takes less than a minute to install.  Single stage magic that will turn your rifle into a 1911

Geisselle is nice, but for an AR with a zero mag optic I think 2 stage is not the best choice. I would second the timney, the wilson and perhaps suggest a JP Rifles. You can get them for just over $100 and with a little tinkering you can set the weight just right.

whats the 2 stage trigger for? I never understood it?

why not the 3 gun version?

Im thinking of getting one on my CMMG piston and POF. Both are 16 inch.
One has a 3x mag and other is just an aimpoint
what do you recommend for these set ups?

I own a Geissele SSA and a KAC, the SSA is IMO a much better trigger but if you are on a budget you can find the KAC on EE for around $100

A 2 stage tries to give you 2 triggers in 1; a 5lb if you pull straight through or a much lighter 2lb for a more precise shot first take up the 3lb first stage. Nothing wrong with the 3 Gun, just a matter of deciding if you want a combat or match style trigger.

But at the 6 min mark The Man talks about why a 2 stage:
