I am building an AR by buying the major subassemblies (complete M4 barrel assembly, complete A2 upper, complete bolt/ bolt carrier assembly, and lower parts kit). I already have a stripped lower and a non-collapsible buttstock. I am asking for the barrel assembly for christmas, because it is the most expensive part that I have left to get. My question is should I go with Bushmaster's "patrolman's carbine" barrel assembly or one of the M4 barrels Pete-in-NH is selling. I would go with one of Pete's if they came with the handguards, gas tube, and delta ring. I asked Pete how much it would cost for the complete barrel assembly, and I am waiting for a reply. Which one should I expect the best accuracy from, if not the same. I intend to build onto this as I go on but would like the basics now. |
