There's a thread (many actually) about Wolf, take a read to it. Wolf is polymer now, and the problem seemed to be excess of sealant leaking out during the manufacturing. I never shot Wolf in my Bushy, but only because to me buying surplus and re-using the brass comes almost down to Wolf costs (and it is a little bit cleaner).

My father ruined a CZ pistol with the green cased crap.   The laquer will just not dissolve out.   I've seen several carbines go down during longer classes from green Wolf, and just about every instructor I've trained with also warns the class against Wolf.     I think a lot of people are just scared to try out the newer stuff due to the bad reputation of the older style ammo.    If Wolf was smart, they should have changed the name when they switched over to polymer to avoid the negative association.

Olympic Arms had a big disclaimer on the website about Wolf ammo as well, but since the polymer stuff has come out the wording has been changed more to a warning about "Laquered ammo":

I've shot several thousands of rounds of old and new in full auto without a problem though the newer poly finished cases leave a gray dust and shooting lots of wolf I notice a red residue left from the primer sealant.

Carb cleaner or paint remover will strip the laqquer right off any metal part of a gun. Just don't get it on any wood or painted surface.
