| I ordered a YHM BUIS from Denny's Guns on 1/17/05. Denny told me that they have been on backorder and hasn't gotten his order filled from YHM yet. I am upset with YHM and not Denny, but I really don't want to wait any longer and want to cancel my order. I would give Denny an extra $25 for an ARMS 40 if he carried them, but it looks as though he's not an ARMS dealer. Would I be wrong in asking in Denny for my $ back? Please note: this is not a flame against Denny! I ordered a AR15.com LULA from him and got it about 3 days later. I just wanted to see what other posters consensus was on this. |

Ok I'll bite.. I would go off my history with the dealer. (any dealer) If a dealer has provided prior "good" service. then I would be inclined to wait it out. But maybe make some phonecalls to stoke the fire. No history= ask for money back. If he is a good dealer, He should with no questions asked, because even though he would love to have your business, the refund is proper courtesy (Unless it is a special order item he is working on for you, that HE had to prepay ect. ) |

My personal experiences with the Industry Partners of this board have been outstanding. My dealings with Denny have been great along with ADCO, Bravo Company, G & R, CMMG, and RB Precision. These folks wouldn't be Industry Partners if they couldn't deliver high quality products and customer service. I believe our Industry Partners feel bad if they cannot meet or exceed our expectations. Unfortunately, somethings are beyond their control and their hands are tied. I think what what you're asking for is not unreasonable and Denny will understand your position. But if was me, I would wait it out. |

The entire AR industry is behind. Raw materials are in short supply, as is subcontractor availability. Demand for AR-type guns and related accessories is at record levels, with the WoT, record spending by the FedGov and thousands of police departments, as well as post-AWB consumer demand. Backorders are everywhere, and the situation is likely to get worse before it gets better. -Troy |
Good move. Denny is one of the good guys. I know from firsthand experience that he will do whatever he can to fill and ship an order as quickly as possible. I've ordered a bunch of gear from Denny, but one large order in particular that I placed with him last year stands out. I needed a ton of stuff-Troy battlesights, a couple of LMT M4 complete upper halves, PRI forends, bolt groups, LULAs, parts, etc etc etc. One of the uppers was for a friend who was about to be deployed to Iraq, so I needed it in a big hurry. Unfortunately only a few of my needed items were in stock, so Denny took it upon himself to ship the parts to me separately as they arrived in his shop. He ate a lot of shipping charges by sending me multiple packages, and based on his aggressive pricing I'm sure he wasn't making a whole lot on my order to begin with. To make a long story short, my Marine friend got his gift just in time to leave for Iraq, because Denny busted his ass getting it configured and sent to me. If Denny's family was in a burning building I'd walk through fire to get them out. In other words, I'd give Denny more time By the way, would you settle for a Troy BUIS? Denny is a Troy stocking dealer. |
I'm kinda in the same boat. I sent Pete (Legal Transfers) a MO for a RRA bolt carrier and RRA 2-stage trigger group. He had them on special so I emailed him first to see if he had this stuff in stock and he replied "yes". I sent the MO out and waited......no parts. I emailed him to see what happened and now he says he's out of stock on both items and they may take several weeks to come in. I'm debating weather or not to ask for a refund as well. I know I can get the parts I need somewhere else, it just might cost a little more. This is my first dealing with Legal Transfers and so far I'm not impressed.
