the other day some friends of mine went out shooting. with my bushmaster m4style. and one of my friends mini 14. my friend that brought the mini 14 had never shot it before. i threw a ammo can with 400 rds in my truck and we headed to our secret shooting range... we got some spraypaint and painted some circles and smiliy faces on the side of a dropoff (we were in an old gravel pit) i gave my friends a 5 boxes of 20rds apeice and took turns shooting. i have never seen them happier in my life. grinnin ear to ear! we took turns shootin each others rifles. everybody said that they liked my bushmaster better but that didnt matter. we were havin fun. when it got dark i grabed a stripper clip of tracers out of my glovebox, accross the gravel pit is about 900-1000yds, shootin into a huge pile of sand. that was fun!! |
Hopefully you recruited future AR owners.  I took a relative of mine out to the country because he said he never saw tracers fire before. I handed him my AR after a quick safety briefing (turned out he never shot a semi auto either) and let him fire away. He was amazed at the level of noise my "little gun" (Bushmaster M4 type) made. He said he was expecting the report you would get from a .22lr. He got a double dose of enjoyment. That's all he would talk about that night and the next day (to anyone who would listen).
