Is there a difference between A2 uppers for rifles and carbines?
The reason I ask is this, I bought in EE a stripped FN A2 upper. Now I assume that a FN upper was designed for a rifle and not a carbine, because I was under the assumption that FN only made full length rifles.

I already have a Bushy A2 carbine, my only factory assembled carbine, and I'd like to make this one a rifle.

No, there is not.

Not really, but some A2 may have M4 feed ramps cut in them, which were designed around carbine length gas systems running FA. Using M4 feed ramps in the receiver, but not in the barrel is not advised.
