Try the site listed above, it will give you  general idea on how to zero. This is one great web site full of information on AR how to articles.

I do the 50yards trick, zero dead on at 50 yards, the your impact would be 3 inches high at 100, then about dead on at 250 and about 3 inches low at 300.  out of a 14.5 inch M4 barrel.

No tips, tricks or anything else special necessary. A quarter will work fine for turning the adjustment screws.

As on any dot-style sight, keep the dot brightness setting as low as you can stand it when doing precision work so that the image of the dot does not appear to blur.

Like any other sight with click-style adjustments: don't agonize too much over two adjacent clicks that seem to work equally well, just pick one. Mark them with nail polish or something so you know if they have been moved.

The Maryland web site has lots of info on various methods. I also like and use the 50 yard "improved battlesight zero" method.

Chen Lee, I agree with the 50 yard zero. I think that is the best for my needs also. My M4 ( 14.5" barrel ) shoots about 10" low at 300 yards though.  I have to hold over the dot to just below neck level.
