I have a bushmaster V-match with a krieger barrell and a newly purchased TASCO SS 20x42
I have no idea which rings are best. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I like the one piece Armalite scope mount, put a new rifle/scope combo together with one recently and was damn near on zero right out of the box.  Excellent quality and finish, and same height as standard iron sights so you use the standard AR cheek weld.
Leupold makes a good looking set of tactical rings also and you'll never go wrong with their stuff in my opinion but the cost is well over $100 for the pair.

You might check out the RRA 1 piece mount. It's very similar to the Armalite but a lot less expensive, notice I did'nt say cheaper.

I wish I'd of known about the Armalite mount,I ended up using some bushmaster risers and a set of Burris Zee rings, I like the way the Zee rings grab the rail, Rock solid when tightened up,maybe next time I'll look around more.

Does the Armalite put the scope a litle higher than the front sights?  If so, how much higher?

A 20x ?!  shooting gnats off a bench?   You'll have a very narrow field of view at 100 yards and your pulse will jitter your image.  Target acquisition will be very slow at such a high magnification.

Never the less, it's all personal preference.  The Badger High rings are my personal choice.  I have a Nightforce NXS 3.5-15 x50 on my flat top.

Anyone know the height difference between the Armalite, and the similar mount made by B-Square for Colt?

I have one of these, and it seems just a little too high to get a good solid cheek weld.
