Brevis II Ultra
I've been promising I would do a review of the Brevis II Ultra suppressor for several months now and I finally had a chance to take it to the range. I put several hundred rounds through it and tested it against two other full sized suppressors. Here are just some of my thoughts on what I like and dislike about it. Noise Reduction I honestly could not tell the difference between the different suppressors and I'm more than pleased with the performance. I didn't want to get my hopes too high because of its size but it did just as well as the other suppressors on both a 16" and 10.5" barrel. I do not have sound equipment so no db rating. Recoil Reduction Equal to that of the other suppressors, i really didn't notice a difference. Weight & Size Its a little wide at 2" but is still narrower than most rails, plus most suppressors are 1.5" in dia so its not that much wider. The length is awesome, and does a great job keeping the rifle short, its about 2x as long as a regular A2 flash hider (3.7") and at 7.5 oz its the lightest 5.56 suppressor on the market. Although I have heard that they are coming out with a new version of the Ultra that will be 6.5 oz! Construction Its a solid single piece of titanium and various other high temp and high durability alloys. From what I have read it is actually 3D printed, which allows them to cut out a lot of waste. Rating The Steel version is full auto rated but the "Ultra" which is titanium is technically not according to the online specs. I did speak with their sales rep and he said while they do not list it as full auto rated it was designed and tested for full auto. Not a issue for most people. But for those who are concerned I did dump several mags through it in full auto with no issues. Durability As previous said it can handle full auto fire, hard to say how many thousands of rounds it will hold up for. Most people will likely never fire enough rounds through their rifle to wear it out. The finish is Cerakote C-Series which is one of the best high temp finishes on the market. Flash Suppression I saved this for last as it was one of the few things I was disappointed with. It did seem to throw a lot of sparks and flash, def more than the other two suppressors. But with that being said it was sort of dark so its more noticeable and the other two suppressors throw some sparks/flash. All of my suppressors are titanium so im not sure if that would go away with a steel suppressor or if thats just what happens when you try to suppress short barrels with mil spec ammo. Price MSRP is $1,491 and when i bought mine the only place to buy online was directly from them so unless someone like silencershop starts carrying it you will likely be stuck paying retail. Unfortunately the price point is a deal breaker for most people as its likely worth more than the rifle they would put it on. But if you're into having the lightest, shortest and best gear possible this suppressor is hard to beat.
EDIT: Final product
A video review of the Brevis II Ultra, I believe this is the new model that will be released soon (Not my Video)

Not much first hand info out there on these so thanks for the report I probably would not purchase one anytime soon but I am interested to see what is done with the manufacturing process in the future. If suppressors were cash and carry like normal firearms I could see similar mass manufactured 'semi disposable' suppressors just like these becoming very popular for their compactness and light weight. Considering the financial outlay and tax I'd be more inclined to get the heavier steel version. |

Thanks for the review.
I have the inconel version. I'm very happy with the length, but a bit disappointed with the weight as it weighed more on my postal scale than the posted specs on their website by a few ounces (other cans are spot on with the same scale vs posted weight specs). Had I known this I may have went with the ultra version. It was more of a durability vs weight decision for me and not the $100 price difference so having accurate information would have been nice. Delta P also said the can was "in stock" and it took them at least a month to get the form 3 rolling. My dealer is pretty well known and basically said that dealing with the guy at delta p was a PITA as he had to hound him to get the form filed. |

They answered all my questions and when I placed my ordered I had a serial number of the suppressor within minutes and they submitted the Form 3 within a day or two. It took 1-2 months for the form 3 approval but that's all on the ATF. |

I think that we can all agree that the price point is about 2x-3x higher than other thread on rifle cans.
Is there any insight as to exactly why? I just can't see the logic in it. It can't be about materials, as other cans are made of the same materials. It shouldn't be about volume, as there are other manufacturers out there that product a quality product, but at a much lower volume than the mass market big guys. And they all seem to keep their pricing reasonable. I am NOT knocking the product at all. And OP thanks for the informative review, as there is not a lot of data on these cans out there. I really wish that more manufacturers would take a better look at larger diameter silencers instead of cranking out the same old 1.5" that has been so popular for so long. I just see the pricing as the deal breaker for 95% percent of buyers. and if Delta P wants to grow their brand, one would think that pricing could be brought into line. |

My guess is the DMLS process is expensive and time consuming. |

I'm not sure what complaining would do at this point after waiting on a form 3 and form 4. I'm stuck with the can now for better or worse. |

So much so that I ended up putting the balance for the Delta P toward an Osprey 9 and Osprey 45 at the time instead. Delta P finally filed the form 3 long after it was paid for and I took the can anyway. |

I would love to see an x-ray of this. Ive been tempted to try a form 1 can of similar dimensions. I searched with Google and didn't find anything. |
