I'm trying to decide if I should spend money on AUG mags or a NATO stock/trigger pack.
How well does the AUG work with a NATO stock. Will there be a "parts count" issue when using a nato stock on a US AUG? Mike |

Exactly, Steyr Austria should be shooting me an email any day now, stating how many US parts are in the A3 and which ones. Jack at Steyr Arms didn't have the answer but said he would forward the question to Austria |

I know from the pic's Afterworkninja posted of his A3, the bolt carrier is U.S. made. That's one towards the count. ETA: Albertr pointed out that those markings are a serial# and that the carrier is indeed an imported part.
If you convert to AR mags and stick to U.S. made ones in particular, those count as three more parts. Also TPD sells a U.S. made trigger and disconnector for the NATO stock. That's two more if those aren't already U.S.made. |

In addition, Pete from PJ's believe they're imported as well. Thanks. Pics in this thread show a bolt carrier with "1USA131" stamped on the side of it. I would assume that it's U.S. made since it has U.S. markings on it 
I think the only ones who know for sure are Steyr and Sabre. |

They're also marked "NOT" immediately underneath the USA marking. Kind of contradictory! I'm curious to know and hopefully we'll get confirmation soon. It makes sense that they wouldn't make it in the US if they can make easier parts like the trigger and disconnector. |

My AXR has an imported carrier and has no markings like that. Only Steyr and Sabre really know. |
