We knew this was going to be a great deal for folks and planned that we'd be squeaking across the April 30th finish line pretty much down to the wire on stock - we were pretty darn close, but we've gotten tons of support on this - you guys made the phones ring non-stop for the past couple weeks - and thus, we ran out of black TUNDRAs around 10:45am this morning... still have... my paperwork-person says we have four three FDE ones left as of 12:16pm. Don't worry: Gemtech takes care of our clients - we're not going to pull a promotion early or anything. Our word and offer still stands that we're paying the tax for Gemtech clients that get orders in by close of business tonight, 5pm MST. (That said, we're disconnecting the fax and phones in another ten minutes. :) Kidding, kidding...). If we run out of TUNDRA stock for this promotion, we're always manufacturing more and whatever handful of guys that don't make this batch won't be backordered long. We'll be aware of the small amount of orders that might come screeching in over the next couple hours and handle any special situations for those few folks (we'll know who you are and what serial numbers will be granted a deadline exemption, if even necessary). My personal thanks to everyone that took us up on Gemtech's offer to get this fun promotion going - your reward is the best dedicated-pistol 9mm can on the market at a screaming price with the Gemtax-rebate. Ultimately, though, shooting HE 40mm, 30mm chainguns, and Gemtech-silenced .338s at tanks out to a mile in the 100 degree desert, followed by an evening of never-ending skewers of steak and papaya-creme churrascaria, capped off by a lazy wandering of the strip with fellow drunken industry deathmerchants screaming bad lines from Ocean's 11 at overweight tourists from Minnesota while watching the Bellagio fountains... Sir, We have records of what was ordered when, serial numbers and dealer's names and invoice numbers. We based the tax rebate expiration window on the average Form 3 time over the past few months, and added a couple weeks for safe margin. If ATF is running late past that, we'll take it in stride and be able to extend deadlines for the serial numbers we know are out there and separate them from new orders that arrived after the Gemtax rebate date. In short - don't sweat it. When you dealer gets his F3 and TUNDRA in, hustle it over here ASAP with your dated receipt showing it was bought on or after April 15 and before May 1and as long as it makes the serial number list, we'll hook you up! You might have your dealer have your Form 4 ready to mail out (pre-do the F4 with fingerprints and serial number, etc. so you can get your trust/CLEO whatnot all squared away and ready to mail as soon as the Brown Truck Of Happiness drops your TUNDRA at your dealer's door... Me being the idiot that I am, I sent my paper work in USPS standard mail. I had to call today to verify that it showed up. Once again, GEMTECH is good people. They verified it showed up without a single problem. Thanks again GEMTECH and double thanks for not reminding me I'm a idiot when I called today.

Jim We're used to it... but if you're one of those people that calls us again Monday, and then Tuesday just to double, DOUBLE check that your paperwork arrived... then we will publicly shame you.

My dealer ordered mine the last day of the promotion after they were out of stock, mine showed up the other day and forms should be at Gemtech already.
***In the last hours of the Gemtax rebate promotion, we cut it close, but ran dry on stock after getting gobs of them out in the first days of the promo. Gemtech honored any orders and extended the ATF-side of the deadline for the handful of folks that got their orders placed before close of business April 30th and had placed those on back order. Just as an FYI to anyone that was in that situation, at this time, all backorders have now been filled - any dealer that was waiting on us for a TUNDRA should have either received it, or has a Form 3 pending on a completed TUNDRA (no vaporware transferred - we don't do that - the actual cans are done, and either have been shipped or waiting on NFA Branch for approval to ship.). As far as new orders, we're back in stock on hardcoat anodize Realtree, Black, and Tan TUNDRA cans at this time. My form 3 didnt come back until June, and my dealer was out of town... I was heading by his shop today to get the form 4 now that he is back, any chance I can still get the deal? (purchased the can from Major Malfunction on April 29, just couldnt get to the dealer's) |

After seeing someone else with the same dates from Gemtech get theirs back I called the ATF. They said it went pending on July 13th.
I checked on a Form 1 I had in and they said it went pending on August 20th. Interestingly, I just received the stamped Form 1 dated August 10th. May have to stop by my dealer tomorrow just to double check. |

I want one, but I don't think i can wait that long to save $200... hhhmmm Kel, can you tell me what dealers in my area (Portland, OR) have an HVT and a Tundra IN STOCK? Everybody I can think of who sells your stuff says they can order one... I'd like to get the paperwork going, so in stock would be nice. |

None that I know of in the PDX area have received shipments of those cans lately. But WE have Tundra's and HVT's in stock so we can get a transfer started to them ASAP. *** As a side note on the varying approval times... Although we sent forms to BATFE in batches and mailed out postcards to you all, The Form 4's are assigned to different examiners once they reach NFA branch based on the first letter of your dealer's last name or business name so forms in the same batch should have all gone "Pending" within a day or so of each other, but they may get approved at different times depending on each examiner's individual work load. *** - DH (other Team Gemtech guy) |

Hope we don't have to wait till next tax day for a repeat of this great promotion. Next one I would like to get would either be 45 ACP, or rifle ;223 or 308 possibly. |

As a little note to the folks... overly enthusiastic about this promotion: Sad, we know, but it is, indeed, over.
We received a couple of GEMTAX rebates a few days late back in June, and you know what? We hooked the guys up, because we're nice that way. We got in one a few weeks late in July, and you know what? We hooked the guy up, because Gemtech is all about the customer service. We got one in today, and you know what? We gotta draw the line somewhere. :) As we very clearly spelled out, the promotion ended in it's entirety on June 15. We even posted a notice to this effect. So, getting an attempt here on October 22, almost four months after the deadline, is pushing it just a wee bit. So just a heads-up to anyone that isn't in the practice of reading the actual terms of coupons, rebates, etc... "If you order with your dealer before April 30th, it's going to take roughly 45 days maximum to have NFA Branch approve one from Gemtech to your dealer. When your dealer gets it in, get hustling, complete your Form 4, and get it in to us before June 15th with your proof of purchase that you bought it between April 15 and 30th, and we'll *still* write that $200 dollar check for you. This offer ends entirely on June 15th ––So make sure your dealer actually orders it from us you when you order it from him!" We had a good ride, but this promo is over. There's always the OUTBACK and MULTIMOUNT we're just plain *giving* away to our facebook fans this Friday and next (see this linky for the October giveaway thingy). Now, I'm off to see about this "cash for clunkers" program I hear is going on right now and maybe trading in for a new fuel-efficient Sequoia.
