 Now I could use something like this! This one says .45 ACP on the barrel. Sorry I don't have any more info. Maybe someone else will chime in. |
Well you would need at minumum a stock, bolt, and barrel. Not sure if they could get .45 to feed correctly without any trunion modifications, but it is possible to fit the cartridge in the opening atleast. |

Just to give you guys some info on the new MCS (Modular Carbine System). To answer your questions this is a modular carbine that can be converted throughout a host of calibers of your choice... 9mm/10mm/40SW/45ACP/45GAP/357SIG. All it takes to do so is a barrel, bolt face, and a mag well adapter. The removable adapters are available in two sizes... one size for 9mm, 40SW, 357SIG, 45GAP, and one size for 10mm and 45ACP. This is all converted without the use of any tools.The target weight will be 4.5 lbs or lighter. The MCS will have an external bolt release, cross safety, quick detach 41V50 chrome lined barrel w/ removable flash hider so a suppressor can be used. Action is a mass blowback system. The MCS uses any of the hi-cap glock mags of which there are millions in circulation. All of the MSAR rail accessories will adapt to this system. MSRP on any caliber variation w/1.5 optic will be $1259.00 Any carbine with a 9" inch top rail and no optic will MSRP for $995.00 making this system probably the best value you will see on any firearm in a long time. If I am not mistaken, this is fully ambidextrous, you can change the ejection port to the left and change everything else to accomodate us lefty's! That has always been one issue inherent with Bullpup designs. |

Midwest Gun in northwest Indiana has about 40 of the .223 models in stock. I checked one out last week and they are very nice looking. The price was a bit too high for me at $1800 with no optics. Idlike to hear from the guys who have shot one first before I would even think of buying it at that price. |

I will get a 9mm and a 45.......or one and then the other caliber conversion parts....depending on conversion part prices. Are the folks that make that "Funky" .45 subgun that takes Glock .45 mags making mag extensions? I would hate to only have 13rd mags...haha. If nothing else, Arendono (sp?) makes +3 basepads for the glock .45.......If I remember correctly. P.S. What is the little silver piece right behind the pistol grip area....in front of the mag well....know what I am talking about??? |

I for one want to get one in 10mm and try to get a barrel in 9x25mm, which would reach some 2000+ FPS, surpassing the performance of .30 carbine. |
For .45 GLOCK mags, 1) The makers of the KRISS have promised extensions, but I haven't seen any 2) Taylor Freelance makes nice +4 extensions Taylor Freelance 3) Scherer makes hit or miss 25(?) round mags 4) ProMag made some drums that fit on the bottom of G21 mags, but they stopped selling them as soon as they started, so they must have sucked. They are the same ones you can still get on 1911 mags and 10/22 mags. |

I do remember the Sherer mags for the .45 glock, but I have heard nothing but BAD reviews. I had owned some of the Sherer 33rd 9mm mags for the glock back in the old days (late 80s, early 90s) and they ran fine. Don't know how they screwed the .45 mag up. Maybe they have the bugs out of it now???? Here are the Arendondo (I have some for my XD mags and they work great), they add 4 rounds in .45...but they are $31 per mag to get the capacity up....too much to trick out 5-6 mags for me.
