[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 00 Buck to stack deep...?

Around here I can get Remington 2 3/4 9 Pel 00 Buck or Federal Premium Vital Shok 2 3/4 9 Pel 00 Buck for around the same price. I don't want to have to order. Which should I chose?

I would pick up a box or 2 of each, and see which shoots the tightest, most uniform pattern. Base your decision on that.
Federal shoots the best out of my 870, FWIW.

You need to see which performs best, then buy all you can afford at the time.

IIRC all Federal Buckshot has 4% antimony added, which makes it harder than most other standard Buck, or it used to at least I do not know if Remington or Winchester have also added antimony to their shot these days as well.

I prefer Federal to other brands simply because I have had excellent results with it, but what I actually have stacked deep is WW 9 pellet #00, 'coz that is what Wallyworld had on sale for so long.
