I use my rifle for squirrel and coon hunting. I’ve got a vortex rimfire 2-7 scope on it. When night hunting, it’s hard to see the reticle. Are there any good rimfire scopes that have a lighted reticle. My other option I guess would be to use a red dot but it would make it hard to make a shot when the animal is at the top of the tree.

Burris RT6 can be had for about $300 used in the EE.
Or the Steiner P4Xi with the P3TR reticle is usually around $500 used in the EE.
Both, IMO are excellent glass for the money.

Athlon makes a 4-12 RF with BDC and illumination, PA down to 10 yards

I have that scope, but with the standard reticle and no light.  I like it.

Another option would be a piggyback or offset mrds for those times you can't pick up the reticle.  But then, you lose the advantage of magnification.

I am curious about this one, since it has the side parallax adjustment

I think I am just gonna build my second 10/22 like my main one and stick a red dot on it for night hunting. For daytime squirrel hunting it is dead nuts accurate. For night time, I can just use my red or green light to shine the eyes of the raccoon and put the dot between it.

Concur w/ the RT-6, but I've no experience with the Steiner. Steiner being Steiner though, I kinda doubt it would let you down.

If you are building a whole new gun, put a thermal scope on it.   Will make it much easier to find the racoon in the tree.  Even the cheap sub $1,000 thermals will work well for that situation.

I still think the PA acss 22lr 1x6 is the best out there!

If you have a rail on it I would attach a 45 degree offset red dot mount.

The great state of Alabama only allows thermals when coyote or feral hog hunting. Any other use of thermal hunting is a no go. I've got a cheapo AGM handheld thermal. Game warden gave me a warning that I can't have it with me even to locate the raccoon in the tree if I am out hunting them with the dogs.

Years ago I installed a Primary Arms 4-16 with illuminated reticle on a dedicated .22 upper.  It's not bright enough to use in bright sunlight, however it's fine for lower light conditions without being overly bright.

I've had an Athlon Helos BTR Gen II 2-12×42 on my custom 10/22 for some time.

Parallax adjustment down to 10 yds.  Decent illumination.

Low magnification let's me take shots on armadillos near by or I can dial it up for 2-300yd shots.

Relatively inexpensive with decent glass, good turrets.
