Well, built up my 1st 10/22 and just haven't shot it that much yet (maybe 200 rounds), anyway I threw in all Valquartsen internals except for the trigger group and threw on a TacSol barrel.  Problem I'm having is I'm getting fail to ejects very often, doesn't matter which ammo I use or mags, have tried factory ruger 10 round mags and butler creek steel lips.  Fail to fire is not an issue, just the ejecting of spent brass.

Is this just a break in issue, or something bad going on?  I've heard there is a lot of probs with the 10/22 when new.  Any suggestions? Picking them out w/a knife is ridiculous every 5-10 rounds.

Are you using a factory or after market extractor?

After market, Volquartsen.

I have the same problem with mine.  I'd like to know how to fix it.

Check alignment of the barrel.  The barrel can be tightened down slightly cocked to one side or the other and this may cause the extractor to bind in the extractor groove on the barrel.

replace your aftermarket extractor with your stock part and then you'll know if it is that part, then pull it and compare both of them. You may be able to stone similar angles on the V as what is on the stock part
