I know practically nothing about .22's. Are the Hot Lips 25rd mags supposed to seat completely in a 10/22 with the bolt closed? Mine doesn't.

Hmmmm, so this is normal? The mag wont seat completely, I have to rack the charging handle while holding the mag in by hand in order to get it to seat in the mag well.

I just tried it with mine, and no the bolt has to be open on mine also.

ETA the clear factory mags do seat though. Interesting.

All of mine, that I've tried, seat fine with the bolt closed.

Is the mag full? Is it just like the AR, where you have to download the mag with a few empty slots to give the bolt clearance?

Try taking one round out of the mag to see if it makes it fit better while the bolt is closed.
