I'm in the home stretch of getting my 10/22 put together but now I need some ideas for scope mounts for it.  I'm going to mount a Mueller APV and I need some suggestions on scope rings (and maybe bases) to make it work with a .920" bull barrel.  I have the factory scope base mounted, but I'm not sure I'll end up using it after all at this point.

Any input would be most appreciated.

I use a Dead Nutz one piece base and rings from Natchez. It's nice, made from aluminum, I payed $40. I have a bull barrel, the scope bell is 40mm, and the mount is the med. height model. Hope this helps

My Volquartsen is nice for true Pic-spec dimensions, and long enough to get big scopes fwd if needed.

This is the Volquartsen extended picatinny base that I did some modifications with to get my Zeiss low and forward to obtain the correct eye relief.

The rings are Warne QD in medium height.

Whoever makes the 25 minute base has my vote.

Power Custom base, Weaver Quad-lock 4x4 Med Matte rings and Mueller APV 4.5-14x40 with sunshade.

Thanks for the input.  Are those Weaver "4x4" rings aluminum?

i looked at that scope base and wanted it so bad... but just couldnt part with the 34 bucks to get it... went with a descent weaver tactical base for 12
