I'm looking at my Hornady 7th Edition and comparing the data to AA's sheet.. I've got some warm 10mm loaded up using Hornady's info(a batch of 11.0grs and a batch of 11.5gr's of AA #7 under a 180gr XTP). Comparing it to AA's info online, there is a difference in information.

Hornady 7th Edition:
180gr XTP, AA #7 starting load of 9.3grs, max of 12.0grs COL = 1.260"

Accurate Arms online data sheet:
180gr XTP, AA #7 starting load of 9.6grs, max of 10.7grs COL = 1.250"

I'm going to give Hornady a call on Monday morning just to see what they say.. any thoughts?

Different guns, test equipment, people doing testing, ect.

That is why there are start loads, and work up from there.

This is pretty much normal for different sources to have different starts and max's.

Always best to have several (3 or 4 if possible) sources of data and get an average.

Every powder manufacturer has a web site for easy reference and free.

The links are at the top of the page.

ETA, I should read your post better, you said you did check their web site.

Pretty much what I was gonna say.  I see differing data everywhere.  Just work up.  Kind of annoying for me when I first started.

Nothin' wrong with givin' them a call.  Chances are they're gonna say "yep, that's what our data says.  Can't comment on anyone elses...........", and give you some of the reasons dryflash pointed out.
