Saw an 1892 at a gun show, wanted it, but felt it was way overpriced. What is a reasonable value? Gunbroker prices are in the sky but they don't seem to sell so I don't know how to judge the value.
24 inch octagon barrel in 25-20. SN is 910xxx. Wood is well worn with scrapes and dents. The forearm is shrunken slightly and slides fore-aft 1-2mm. Most exposed metal is fairly brown. Couldn't see the bore well, but the last inch of the muzzle looked like it had little or no rifling showing. Was marked $1325 and the guy offered $1200 sales tax included without me even asking about price. I passed as $1200 is way more than it's worth to me. What is a reasonable market value? |
