1894 or 1854?

I’m looking to get another lever gun with a threaded barrel and wanted to get some real works opinions between a SBL/trapper and Smiths 1854? Either one will be a 357 mag.

I have the 1894 and it is very nice. I have handled the 1854 and it is very nice. Just get one and you will be happy.

Something I did not know about the Smith is that the whole tube pulls out, it's not just a plunger like .22s and Henry's. Even if I never pulled it I think that would still bug me.

No opinion on the Smith but I love my 1894 Trapper in .357. With an Octane .45 and 158g .38 Specials it sounds like a .22. Just the crack.
