Back in 2011 I was looking to add a Romania M44 to my collection without luck.
one day I got a call with an offer to buy one. I agreed to buy it sight un seen. When the guy came to the house with the gun, I was busy doing stock work and did not take a good look at the rifle other then it was in pertty good shape. I ended up doing a little horse treading for the rifle and then went back to work. Later when I had a break I gave my friend, John in Ohio, a call to tell him that I scored a Romania M44. John asked what year it was, Hell, I didn't know because, I had not looked. I went and checked and was happy to see that it was a 1953. It's all matching with an electro pencil matched bolt.
