look no further than Quicken willmaker with online living trust -

I live in AZ and we dont need to record the trust with any govt entity, so sure if that makes a difference, but I haven't had any problems with the ATF for all my form 4's and form 1's.

I added some random stuff to the trust before filing my first form 4 - antique furniture, jewelry, host weapons, etc.

you can find some smokin' deals on the downloaded software, and it does't cost you a dime to update your trust once your forms get approved and you have to add your class 3 item.

If you want an NFA gun trust do it the right way and pay a good lawyer who is experienced with them. Not worth the potential legal issues down the road because you decided to do it with online software. Setting up a living trust for something such as NFA weapons is something that should be done by a competent lawyer that understand NFA and state gun laws.

" Gun Trusts" are not that complicated, although the lawyers would love to make you think that - all a trust is, is a legal entity that can hold property, wait for it -  in trust - that is all -

Being a beneficiary of a trust and having a family owned business which is held in trust - I know all too well the difference between a trust that needs lawyers involved and one that does not, and a trust to hold legal possession of class 3 firearms does not need any help from lawyers. If your trust is sub-par the ATF wont approve your form, if the ATF approves your form, your trust is A-OK. ;)  I have even ran across more than one class three dealer that will sit down with you and make you a revocable living trust using "NOLO online living trust" - I'm pretty sure they know their way around the NFA and the BATFE.

don't get fooled by people trying to take your money, less money to lawyers, more money in the safe.

I have used them and had a good experience.  Eric was very helpful.  To my understanding, he is not a lawyer, so take from that what you will.  I am happy with the document I got, FWIW.

Form 1 is still pending, so I can't attest to the ATF's response.

Give them a call at the number on their website and ask questions.  Couldn't hurt.

I disagree. I may may changes to my trust in the future and having a lawyer make and help maintain it will ensure that I don't accidentally do something stupid like invalidate the trust. Furthermore, as you  noted the ATF will not approve transfers for invalid trusts - waiting 12 months to find out your trust is invalid is a pretty shitty way to go.

whether or not a trust contains specific verbiage as to how firearms must be transferred after the death of the trustee, the letter of the law must still be followed.  That verbiage in the trust makes it no more or less legal or capable of possesing and passing on class 3 nfa firearms.

I have 3 suppressors and 2 SBRs in a RLT made using the Willmaker software I purchased in 2006. It's a valid document.
