Honestly my rattlecan method is based on trying to keep the main principle in mind + laziness. The idea is just to break up the outline of the gun from a reasonable distance. So I think simple, bold contrasting colors is the way to go instead of trying to make a fancy complicated pattern where it blends into one color at a dozen yards. And i'm lazy so I ain't doing taped stencils, etc. I just do a base coat in the primary color, and then rip an amazon box flap so its a random shape, and then use that as kind of a stencil that I hold against the gun and hit it with the contrasting color. Then I usually do a mist of the base color to soften the contrast just a bit. The whole process takes like 10 minutes other than masking optic or light lenses. I don't do any prep either. The more worn it gets, the better it looks anyway. |

That's cool. I have an SD barrel that's going in a build, but I don't have a can for it yet (Well, I do, but I don't like taking off the other gun). They say the shorter version sounds the same, I'll probably go with the short one.

Do you notice a lot of jacket shavings in the suppressor? MP5SD barrels are helical ported, i believe to intersect only the grooves and not the lands. |
