Are you trimming your cases after resizing them? Are you getting any other pressure signs? Your load is well within norms, how many rounds have been through the rifle?
Like Borg suggested, I have been using 20.5 grains of H-4198 or 22.5 to 23.0 grains of H-322 w/52 grain match bullets in my carbine gas system AR's. It peaks earlier and port pressure is no where near as high compared to "standard" powders in this caliber. No ripping off the case rims and very reliable. Before the ejection process was much more violent. Does factory ammo do the same? |
