Anyone here have this security system with some install knowledge?
From what I've read around the web its pretty straight forward, but you can't trust the internet like you can ARFcom 
I have an exsisting WIRED Honeywell system that is monitored that I would would like to upgrade with a 2gig panel in my "armory" that would include adding a extra siren and motion detector along with some extra motion sensors in other places and a garage door sensor. I have heard the exsisting wired system box can be easily converted to wifi to work directly with the new 2gig panel and that the other items can be added easily anytime? True? Also how do companies like ADT like when you add a few things like this? (I OWN my current system, so no legal owner issues) |
| I don't know anything about 2gig. I had a Old DSC system in my house. General rule is wired will work with anything, wireless are system specific. I went with a GE networxx system and used all the old wired sensors, added about 30 new ones with GE micro wireless, etc. You just have to download an install manual and search the security forums when you are programming. After a while, it all starts being logical which is scary. |
