i currently have a 22,223,and a 9mm can
gemtech outback II m41k AAC SWR trident i want to jump on a 308 can. my dealer has a HVT QD in stock but i really havent done my homework on them. Anybody have one? what can the sound of a 308 bolt gun be compared to (subsonic of course)? i have never heard one. ive seen some videos but you know how those are. any info would be appreciated |

Look at AACs lineup - the Cyclone is my favorite, followed by the CycloneK and the 762SD, but they're all VERY close. 762SD might be easier if you're going to move it around from stick to stick.
Subsonic .308 is a blast to shoot - sounds like an airgun to me. I'm sure it's a little louder than a .22 suppressed with subsonics, but my bolt action .308s sound much quieter than my Sig226 with a Trident9. |

my version: Quoted: I have a Sandstorm YHM Phantom 762 QD on my 308 bolt gun and when I shoot subs through it, I think, it is quieter than some air guns. I can't shoot it without a grin on my face Just shot it today. I love the YHM cans for what they are; built like tanks, pretty inexpensive, and work just fine. |

I have been very happy with my 7.62SD and as of yesterday waiting on a M4-1K.
I already have 18T mounts on some of my 5.56 guns since I've been using the 7.62SD on them. So if it matters to you to be able to use the .308 can on 5.56 guns with the same mount, I would go with the 7.62SD. If not then go with the HVT in stock. My .02 |

Missed that, I'd have to agree with you then. Mounts damn sure aren't cheap. |

It's not necessary. The HVT will be no different, and only better. |
