| I remember reading somewhere that the 30rd. FAL mags were not as reliable as standard 20 rounders. Anyone have experience with the 30rders. to confirm? Thanks. |

We have a DSA 30 round mag and it is reliable. The DSA 20 and 25 rounds were NOT reliable for us. |

I bought 4 DSA 20 rnd mags and the only issue I've had is they hold the bolt open with 1rnd still in the mag. Other than that they function fine. What issues did you have? I keep hearing how bad they are. Quoted:

The 25 round mag body swells when loaded so the rounds don't stagger correctly and ammo does not get pushed up by follower. Not sure about the 20 rnd ones. They were my son's but he said they were shite and did not run. The DSA 30 rnd mags seem to be made from a slightly heavier gauge sheet metal so that's why they work better in my opinion. We had lots of good surplus mags so did not waste much time on the DSA mags. Still have the 30 rnd one cause it works. |
| I used to own a DSA FAL and purchased some of the DSA 30rd magazines and about 7 or 8 of their 30rd Bren Gun converted to metric FAL magazines. I never had a chance to try out the Bren Gun mags, but, their 30rd brand new DSA magazines would only chamber and fire one round. The second rounds would never chamber for some unknown reason. My original FN FAL OEM 20rd surplus magazines would function flawlessly, so I'm sure it was the DSA magazines and not the DSA FAL. I got rid of that DSA FAL and kept the Bren Gun magazines and I've never had a chance to test them out. |
