Would this bullet do well in my 16" 1:9 twist DPMS? I have never shot anything that light in my rifle?

Powder I have avail is W748, Varget, H335,

That bullet over 27gr. H335 lit by a WSR primer.  That's my varmit load.  Shoots like a dang laser beam.

This is the most accurate bullet in my 1:9, 16 inch Armalite AR15T.

28gr Benchmark worked best in my rifle.

Other will chime in with AA2230, but Benchmark worked so well, I never tried other powders.

Of the powders you have, 26 to 28+ H335 should put you in an accuracy node.

Start low and work up to what works best in your rifle.

This bullet is devastating on prairie dogs.  My longest kill with the 40 gr. V-Max was 540 yards, not with the AR.

Good luck.

35-40gr bullets do very well out of my 1:9, I like Benchmark for the light ones.

Don't know about a 1 in 9, but my 1 in 14 twist loves them.

I use the same load but with Wolf primers

Back in my bolt gun days, I used W748 with the Sierra 40 gr. HP.  Around 28 gr. should be pretty hot.

had very good luck with the 40 vmax and h335 in the 27.0 to 27.5 load range as group were open under it and very tight after I hit 27.0so I just stayed with 27.0.I love it in my 1-9 twist bolt action and it shoots well in all my 1-7s too.

here is a target using that load in a 1/9 Twist AR15...don't mind the flyers.
